• Attend an event in Brooklyn Park! There are lots of great opportunities to enjoy winter in the city of Brooklyn Park. You can check the city’s events calendar to see what’s coming up, like a free community band concert or snowshoeing at Historic Eidem Farm. 

• Start a new tradition with one of these 50 free things to do in December like festivals, tree lightings and more! 

• Every other Wednesday, join us for holiday-themed bingo with a chance to win prizes including a $50 rent credit. The next bingo event is Wednesday, December 13. 

• On Wednesday, December 6, join us in the entryway of the all buildings for a grab-and-go breakfast 

• Our holiday children's coloring contest starts Tuesday, December 5. Come into the leasing office and pick up a bag which includes crayons and the picture to color. Hand in completed artworks by Friday, December 15. You’ll be entered in a drawing to win a prize on Wednesday, December 20 at the holiday party! 

• On Wednesday, December 20, join us for our Holiday Wishes party! Grab a snack, take a picture with Santa and your family, and visit some tables of some of our partner organizations.

As we look forward to a festive holiday season, keeping yourself and your family safe is our top priority. Here are some tips for fire safety from the US Fire Administration: 

• Try battery-operated flameless candles instead of wax candles  

• If you have a Christmas tree, keep it watered and away from heat sources 

• Never leave a hot pan unattended 

• If you have a space heater, be sure to turn it off at night or anytime you leave

One of the things our residents love most about Huntington Place is its amenities, including shared community spaces and room for exercise with family, friends and pets. With updated units, convenient access to the Twin Cities and full-time on-site staff, Huntington is a great place to call home. 

Additional offerings that set Huntington Place apart include: 

• A YMCA program that provides afterschool care for residents’ children until 6 p.m. free of charge 

• Restorations Ministries programs for violence interruption and job search support  

• A Resident Connections Coordinator who assists residents with connecting to services, planning educational and entertaining events and advocating for additional needs 

Like many multi-tenant buildings, Huntington Place has had its share of challenges, too. Built in 1969, the building requires short- and long-term maintenance to keep it running smoothly. Additionally, security has been an issue that required investment including security cameras, 24-hour security, and additional communications channels. Aeon has, and continues to perfect, systems that address each of these specific challenges including a maintenance request process and additional caretaking staff. Crime is down 54% from 2022 to 2023 and, with more improvements in the works, is expected to fall further.
